Tips on Creating PowerPoint Templates for Ecommerce Startups
May 21, 2020
Learn about PowerPoint, why it remains the premier presentation tool since 1987, and why it's essential for eCommerce startups but challenging to master without a mix of design skills and strategic planning.

Hundreds of thousands of powerpoint presentations are produced daily, and this program, which was conceived in 1987, remains to be the world’s go-to medium for presentations. However, despite its popularity, creating an awesome powerpoint presentation is not an easy thing to do. It takes a good mix of design skills as well as strategic planning to ensure the best results.

For eCommerce startups, powerpoint presentations are particularly helpful tools that can be used for a variety of things, from pitching business ideas to potential investors, to presenting business updates to stakeholders.

Are you trying to build your own eCommerce powerpoint presentation? Create your own powerpoint template by including these key parts:

Cover Slide
Table of Contents
Introduction
Graphs and Tables
Thank you slide

To help you out even more, here are 3 great tips from powerpoint design pros:

1. Keep it simple.
Remember, powerpoint presentations are meant to be used as presentation aids. They should only contain enough text to help you remember what you want to say. Don’t treat it like a script you have to read!

2. Be clear.
No one wants to listen to a 2 hour-long presentation. Make sure that your presentation is concise and direct to the point. Simplify and summarize data to make it easier to digest. Otherwise, brace yourself for some snoozing people in your audience.

3. Be visual.
Powerpoint presentations rely heavily on visuals. Make sure you break up your text by using images that will keep your audience engaged. Throw in some animation too, if you want, to further reduce the likelihood of a bored audience.

Bonus tip: If all else fails, use a great powerpoint template!

Top 10 Favorite Digital Marketing News (January 2019)
January 1, 1970
Discover the latest in digital marketing with KDCI's roundup, including Buffer's State of Social report and insights on video content, LinkedIn targeting, and Amazon's Influencer Commission Initiative. Stay ahead with our top digital marketing news picks.

In today’s busy world, no one really has the time to sit down and catch up on every piece of news that gets released every single day. Admit it - you probably send your news subscription emails straight from your inbox to an obsolete folder somewhere.

Luckily for you, our digital marketing team at KDCI has created this handy roundup of some of our favorite digital marketing news bits that you might have missed this month. These ones are actually useful, we promise!

Our Top 10 Favorite Digital Marketing News this January

1. Buffer’s State of Social report

Buffer has recently released its annual in-depth report on digital marketing trends to help marketers in devising their strategies. It highlights some interesting points such as the rise in the use of organic stories, messaging apps, influencers, video content, and IGTV in companies’ digital marketing strategies.

This report is one of our favorites since it lays out data in a very reader-friendly, easy-to-understand format which is great for busy people who want to just cut down to the chase.

2. Video will be the king of Facebook

Facebook remains to be the top channel for sharing business content, and it is becoming clearer that video is the most engaging media type on the platform. Recently, Mark Zuckerberg has said that users watch an average of 100 million hours of videos every day.

It was found, however, that the main factor holding businesses back from engaging users with more video content is lack of time to produce the actual videos.

3. LinkedIn interest targeting

LinkedIn is a great platform to explore for companies looking to enhance their marketing initiatives. It is currently viewed as a promising marketing solution to help marketers reach their audience through relevant ads and interest targeting.

The predominantly business-to-business platform has also seen a 212% rise in ad growth as marketers use the site for reach and lead generation.

4. Amazon’s Influencer Commission Initiative

Advertisers now spend more than $40k a month on their advertising efforts. This growth is being attributed to efforts to take part in the rising influencer marketing industry.

In fact, business giant Amazon is set to give up to 10% influencer commission using a tool made by their influencer marketing platform collaborator, Influence.co.

5. Netflix on Instagram stories

Netflix has recently added a feature allowing users to share what shows they’re watching on Instagram. This clearly shows that more and more brands recognize the value of social media platforms in terms of marketing.

According to reports, the number of brands posting Instagram Stories has quadrupled in 2018, and this in their efforts to generate engagement and impressions.

6. Mobile now houses 75% of search shopping impressions

The fastest-growing paid search segment continues to be on Mobile.

E-commerce channel ads (ECA) have grown five times over the course of 2018 as three out of four search shopping impressions are done using a mobile phone in a quarterly report by Kenshoo.

7. Brands are banking on e-commerce in 2019

$3.5 trillion in digital opportunities in the online retail space is being seized by the 76% of brands increasing their investments on e-commerce.

This growth is followed by an increasing need for e-commerce support agencies providing data processing solutions and specialized fields like search engine optimization that isn’t readily available in-house.

8. Google Chrome’s ad blocking initiative

In the light of Google’s withstanding $56.8 million GDPR fine, the company will stop displaying disruptive ads by July 9.

Expansion of Better Ad Standards is also in the talks to improve the experiences of Chrome users. Critics, however, are alarmed of the “self-serving possibilities” in Google’s pursuits.

9. AI healthcare is one of the top growth industries

AI healthcare is among the top emerging industries this year.

This is due to the growing demand for accessible healthcare and influencer agencies for effective advertising support along with personal coaching and drones.

10. AI Gartner Report

AI is gradually creeping into our daily lives, and it is predicted that 70% of organizations are bound to have some form of AI integrated into their workflow by 2021.

AI is expected to be used in the workplace for increased efficiency and productivity in the automation of manual tasks, enhancing customer experience, and lessened human error—ultimately improving ROI.

Though the first month of the year is nearly over, there’s still time for you to think about your business strategy for digital marketing this year. Hopefully, these news tidbits go a long way in helping you create the awesome strategy you need to really boost your business growth in 2019.

Inside KDCI's Design Process: Quality Assurance in Focus
July 20, 2023
KDCI, a leader among creative outsourcing companies, employs a meticulous design process, fortified by a rigorous Quality Assurance protocol. This ensures impeccable service and flawless design executions that strictly adhere to client brand guidelines, utilizing comprehensive internal checklists, advanced tools, and fostering continuous designer development.

At KDCI, we take pride in providing top-notch service for our clients. This is exactly why we’ve developed a top-notch Quality Assurance process that guarantees the 100% flawless creative execution of our design team every single time. Here’s what we do:

We follow our clients’ brand guidelines in detail.

For every task given by a client, we make sure that we get the corresponding job brief. Once we receive our clients’ brief and brand guidelines, we make sure to read, understand, and internalize them to ensure that we execute the job according to the correct standards.

We use an internal design checklist to review each stage of design.

Having a proper workflow is essential to getting the best output. This is why we use an internal design checklist so every step of the design process is checked and monitored. Our preferred tool for this is Trello since it is perfect for collaborative work, as well as monitoring specific workflow processes.

We use multiple applications to spell check our work.

Nothing ruins great designs more than spelling errors. This is why before designs are finalized, any and all text is checked and double-checked using various spell check applications such as Adobe and Grammarly.

Every designer is held accountable by a QA scorecard.

At KDCI, we have a proprietary QA scorecard that we use to monitor and grade our designers according to different metrics such as accuracy, quality of work, workflow adherence, and the like. The results of our QA scorecard is relayed during weekly feedback sessions which ensure that our designers are accountable for the work that they produce.

We regularly have training sessions to improve the design process.

We are never satisfied with mediocre work. This is why we make sure that we take measures to ensure the continuous growth and development of each member of our design team. This includes holding monthly training sessions as well as encouraging our team to attend Creative Design events and conferences.Interested in outsourcing your creative design needs to a team of professional offshore design experts? How To Know If You Need Staff Leasing For Your Business
May 21, 2020
As a company grows, the workload gets heavier and managing its day to day operations gets harder. This is the main reason behind the increased demand for staff leasing services today.

As a company grows, the workload gets heavier and managing its day to day operations gets harder. This is the main reason behind the increased demand for staff leasing services today.

Staff leasing is an appealing option since it addresses many of the challenges that a business faces as it scales and grows. Companies also find that there are multiple advantages to staff leasing as opposed to hiring full-time in-house employees for their business.

Do you need staff leasing for your business? Check out these five signs that your business is in need of staff leasing ASAP:

1. Your employees are overwhelmed by their heavy workload.

Stress is always a part of a business, but if you notice that your employees are getting swamped and frustrated by working on tasks that are not part of their job description, then it’s time to reevaluate your work distribution process.

Remember: overworked and stressed employees are unproductive employees, and you don’t want that for your business.

2. Your budget is getting tighter.

Budget is always an important factor to consider in running a business. Maintaining an in-house team means that you will have to allocate more of your budget for hiring employees and updating your office equipment accordingly.

By choosing to staff lease from an offshore company, you will only pay the cost of acquiring the service. Staff leasing from countries such as the Philippines would also mean that recruitment and operational costs would be lower and therefore more manageable and optimal for you.

3. You can’t focus on core business activities.

Do you find yourself focusing on the minutiae of day-to-day business activities? Do you catch yourself micromanaging tasks constantly just to get things going? This is definitely not a good thing both for you and your employees.

By choosing offshore staff leasing, you can free up your valuable time and focus on your more important, core business activities that require your undivided attention.

4. Your customers are starting to complain.

It is a big red flag when you start to receive negative feedback from your customers for not being able to respond to their needs right away. They need to be able to contact a representative that can handle their inquiries like a pro 24/7.

If this is kind of customer service is something you cannot do considering your existing staff, then it could be a smart move to outsource the work and lease the staff you need.

5. You can’t strike a good work-life balance.

Do you regularly spend 15 hours in the office and still find that you don’t have enough time to finish all of your office tasks? Do you have a growing list of missed birthdays, events, and milestones?

When you start to miss out on the important moments in your personal life because of your heavy workload, it is definitely time for you to look for solutions. Instead of driving yourself into the ground, it is more logical to find people to lighten your workload for you.

Do any of these things ring a bell? If this sounds like your business, then it may be time for you to make the smart decision of outsourcing your work to a staff leasing company that is dedicated to providing unmatched solutions for your business needs.

At KDCI, we specialize in Offshore staffing. We are experts in Creative design and Digital marketing, and with us, you can easily hire your own custom dedicated resources to support your entire production process.

Top 5 Best Reasons to Outsource to the Philippines
August 13, 2025
Discover the top 10 reasons to outsource to the Philippines—skilled professionals, cost savings, cultural compatibility, time zone coverage, and support quality.

Lauded as one of the top business process outsourcing (BPO) and call center capitals of the world, the Philippines is an outsourcing paradise for many businesses globally— especially developed countries.

Its long-standing reputation as one of the best countries for outsourcing shows that the Philippines has a lot to offer to companies looking to expand their operations and scale their growth.

Need more convincing? We listed 10 reasons to outsource to the Philippines, from higher profitability to world-class data security.

10 Reasons to Outsource to the Philippines

Here are the top 10 reasons why you should pick the Philippines as your offshore outsourcing destination for your next outsourcing initiative.

1. Higher Profit Margin and Cost Savings

Lower costs mean higher profit margins. Outsourcing to developing countries like the Philippines means lower labor costs, lower overhead, and lower taxes. All of these things translate to you being able to get the most value for your money, so you can run your business with higher profit margins while saving more on labor and overhead.

2. Highly Scalable

With Filipinos earning an average of  $325.15 USD a month,  scaling your business becomes a more cost-efficient endeavor, allowing you to double or downsize your Filipino workforce as needed without exceeding your budget or overspending on local hires.

3. Large Talent Pool

The Philippines, with its 7,641 islands, is home to a large talent pool of skilled professionals who are passionate and highly motivated to excel in multiple fields. Because it has 13,128,017 college graduates as per the Philippine Statistics Authority’s (PSA) data, there is no shortage of talent and expertise in the Philippines.

Hence, the Filipino workforce is a great resource to tap into when you need exceptional talent for your company.

4. High Literacy and English Proficiency

Apart from the Philippines’ 90% basic literacy rate, it is also recognized as one of the countries with the most number of English speakers at 111,046,913. In the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) region, the Philippines is one of the top countries with the highest English proficiency score of 570, second only to Singapore.

Thanks to the Philippines’ highly literate, English-proficient population, you won’t have to worry about language barriers in business communication — thus guaranteeing seamless collaboration and workflow processes.

5. Cultural Compatibility With Western Countries

The Philippines has a long colonial history, shaping its norms and values into a melting pot of  Asian and Western cultures. Due to the country’s past, Filipinos can easily adapt to any culture and work with foreign businesses — especially those from the US — with minimal cultural or communication barriers.

6. Skilled Workforce

Filipinos are detail-oriented, hardworking, and reliable workers who are dedicated to helping companies reach their goals. They are also hospitable, friendly, and humble, making them some of the best people to work with.

This combination of having an excellent work ethic as well as a great disposition makes Filipino professionals dependable and trustworthy offshore employees for foreign businesses.

7. Customer-Centricity

The hospitality of Filipinos extends to business relationships, too. In many outsourcing companies, Filipino employees prioritize customer satisfaction, making sure their clients consistently receive the highest quality of service. This leads to strong partnerships that last for decades.

8. Government Support

The Philippine government recognizes the major economic role of the BPO industry, which provides jobs to 1.57 million people in the country. The Philippines’ outsourcing sector has multiple measures in place, such as tax adjustments and infrastructure development, to fully support its growth and development.

The local outsourcing industry also works closely with different organizations and other outsourcing companies to provide BPO courses to Filipinos, hence preparing a specialized workforce primed for the Philippine BPO industry.

9. Time Zone Advantage

BPO companies in the Philippines are open 24/7 and on local holidays. This means you have Filipino employees working morning, afternoon, and night shifts to provide round-the-clock coverage for clients from different countries — particularly the US, where time zones vary between 12 to 18 hours.

10. Excellent Data Privacy and Security

From financial to healthcare data, Philippine outsourcing companies have processed and handled them all with care. The secret? Strict enforcement of the Data Privacy Act and robust, enterprise-grade IT infrastructure.

Not only that, but these companies also make their employees sign non-disclosure agreements (NDA)  to ensure confidentiality and protection from legal liabilities. Hence, by outsourcing to the Philippines, you get the confidence and peace of mind that your data is protected from breaches and cyberattacks.

4 Tips On Outsourcing to the Philippines

To successfully outsource work to the Philippines, be sure to follow our expert-approved tips below:

Tip #1: Know Your Whys

Outsourcing is not something you jump right into immediately. Before outsourcing operations to the Philippines, sit down with your team and assess the organization’s weaknesses and inefficiencies.

Is it the lack of specialized expertise or advanced technologies? Are your team members spending their time working on non-core tasks?

Whatever the reason, understanding your whys helps you outsource with purpose.

Tip #2: Don’t Always Settle for the Cheapest Provider

Evaluate potential outsourcing partners not just on cost, but also on their reputation, expertise, services, and core values. By vetting service providers, you can work with an outsourcing partner that aligns with your goals, values, and standards — thus reducing the likelihood of conflicts of interest and unmet expectations.

Tip #3: Ask for A Trial Period

Many of the best BPO companies are happy to give a trial period. During this period, you can assess your offshore team’s performance and identify weaknesses to help you weigh in on whether the outsourcing provider is worth committing to for the long haul.

Tip #4: Familiarize Yourself With Filipino Culture

By researching Filipino history, norms, and values, you can smooth out differences in hierarchy, levels of formality, and communication styles. This builds mutual respect between teams, thus leading to a partnership grounded in cultural sensitivity.

Outsourcing Guide
5 Business Activities to Outsource (A Quick Guide)
May 21, 2020
Several studies have shown that more and more companies are investing in outsourcing today.

Companies that leverage outsourcing services get the benefits of increased efficiency, controlled costs, and greater competitive advantage, as they can access specialized expertise they don’t have locally and focus on core business activities.

However, outsourcing is not for everyone, and not all business processes can be outsourced. If you plan on outsourcing your business processes, a good first step to take would be to identify which processes you want to outsource and which ones you are better off doing in-house.

In this article, we listed 10 business activities to outsource to outsourcing providers. But first, let’s talk a bit more about the benefits of outsourcing.

Why You Should Outsource Your Business Activities

Outsourcing can be a blessing for many companies. Here’s why you should start outsourcing your business activities:

  1. Enjoy Higher Cost Savings

Outsourcing helps you save on labor, training, and overhead costs by working with offshore employees from the Philippines or any developing country — where salaries and cost of living are cheaper than in developed countries.

  1. Take Advantage of New Technologies

Whether it’s advanced AI tools or the latest software solutions, outsourcing companies have the right technologies to support efficiency, scalability, and innovation.

  1. Capitalize On New Ideas

Outsourcing exposes your organization to best practices and fresh, out-of-the-box ideas, helping your team create breakthroughs in your industry.

Top 10 Business Activities to Outsource

Companies of all sizes are investing in outsourcing today. For example, Clutch found that most small business leaders (83%) from the US are thinking of investing more money or maintaining their current expenditure on this game-changing strategy. In a report by Forbes, more than half of American firms (66%) are outsourcing a minimum of one department.

If you think outsourcing is the right move for you, check out this list of the most commonly outsourced business processes today:

1. Accounting and Financial Tasks

Some of the problems that many in-house accounting and financial departments face include subpar processing, the risk of fraud, and the repetitive nature of their workloads. Outsourcing to the best accounting firms enables your company to meet your accounting goals with the help of professional accountants who are completely focused on their financial tasks without any distractions.

2. Administrative Tasks

Administrative tasks are generally time-consuming and detail-oriented. They often require a lot of focus, and this makes them difficult to manage — especially for companies without a dedicated team to handle them. Outsourcing administrative tasks can help improve your workflow by taking finicky tasks off your hands, so you can focus on core business matters.

3. IT Operations

If you own a smaller business, chances are you won’t have the upgraded technological resources and specializations that larger companies enjoy. Outsourcing IT matters to the best IT outsourcing companies with the proper resources is a great solution, as you can get professional results without having to spend on building an actual in-house IT team.

4. Digital Marketing

Digital marketing is an important investment for any brand today, and to be able to do it correctly, you will need the expertise of SEO, SEM, SMM, and PPC specialists, to name a few. Through strategic outsourcing, you can get a dedicated marketing team that can work hand-in-hand with your existing marketing department to further boost your digital marketing initiatives and get you the best results possible.

5. Creative Processes

Businesses of all sizes need some form of creative work in one way or another. However, not all businesses need to build an in-house creative and graphics department. Outsourcing to the best creative agencies is a great solution for this, as you can get professional results from expert designers without having to deal with the logistics of maintaining an actual in-house graphics team.

6. Human Resources and Recruitment

HR departments are facing a host of challenges, from attracting the right talent to avoiding compliance issues with labor laws. With AI taking center stage, adapting to new technologies has become another hurdle to overcome.

By outsourcing human resources and recruitment to the best recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) companies, you can enhance your talent acquisition strategies, hire qualified candidates faster, leverage advanced HR solutions in your workflow, and comply with employment laws while maintaining top-tier operational efficiency.

7. Customer Service

Customers want fast, responsive, and personalized customer support. Not just that, but they’re also holding customer support agents to a higher standard, expecting them to exhibit emotional intelligence during interactions.

With agents helping multiple customers simultaneously and new tickets coming in at breakneck speed, it’s no surprise that some of these individuals are on the brink of burnout and emotional exhaustion.

That’s why outsourcing customer service to the best customer service agencies is a game-changer. These agencies have technologies such as AI agents for faster, personalized interactions and a tiered customer service system for efficient support. Outsourcing also brings new faces to your team, making customer support more manageable and preventing burnout among in-house agents.

8. Property Management

Late payments, low tenant retention, and lack of innovation — the list of challenges goes on. Coupled with evolving compliance standards and a high-stress work environment, you get property managers who’ll quit their jobs — or exit the industry altogether — in no time flat.

When you outsource property management to a reliable outsourcing provider, you can find and work with property management virtual assistants to provide high-quality administrative and tenant support. This translates to higher tenant satisfaction and frees up the workload of property managers.

9. Data Entry

Data entry is essential, yet it is also one of the most repetitive and time-consuming administrative tasks. For companies with no (or a smaller) in-house data entry team, the amount of data to be processed and handled can pile up quickly. Throw in manual data encoding and fast turnaround times, and you’ll get haphazard, error-ridden data.

Outsourcing data entry can mean an extra pair of hands to assist with encoding. With the help of technology, your offshore data encoders can detect data patterns and extract relevant data from sources — improving speed and accuracy in data collection and processing.

10. Healthcare

Medical providers typically handle all healthcare operations in-house. But with understaffing and administrative work in the picture, patient care may be compromised as internal healthcare providers are burdened with both clinical and non-core activities.

Thankfully, healthcare outsourcing is a lifesaver. Outsourcing companies have dedicated offshore healthcare experts who provide clinical and non-clinical services, such as medical billing, appointment setting, and telemedicine. By outsourcing healthcare, medical providers can improve patient care and enhance efficiency.
